The partners and staff at Stauffer & Associates PLLC have over 20 years of experience working with Casinos on financial statement audits, internal control compliance under the National Indian Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Control Standards as both internal and external auditors, and anti-money laundering compliance under Title 31. Over the past several years, the demands and responsibilities for Tribal Housing Authorities have increased considerably. And with these changes, the accounting demands have also increased. We at Stauffer & Associates have worked with our clients to help them through these changes. We understand the NAHASDA regulations and their requirements; we also have considerable experience in assisting our clients in implementing GASB 34 reporting requirements for Tribal Housing Authorities.
We have been able to assist our Tribal Housing Authority clients to meet these additional demands and to develop a system and help them to succeed. We provide management consulting and accounting services including converting accounting records to GAAP basis, developing subsidiary schedules to record and maintain Mutual Help records, assisting with the conveyance of Mutual Help homes, developing checklists to ensure all tenant files for both low-rent and Mutual Help projects are complete, as well as other important tasks. We provide, hands on, “side by side” training during our visits to maximize the potential of your staff and to move them toward self sufficiency. We have also established excellent working relationships with several Department of Housing and Urban Development personnel.
